I planted two dozen tulip bulbs, none came up, the squirrels ate all of them. But in my office I set up a tulip glass and this blossom opened yesterday.

Well, at least that's one the squirrels didn't get, and just as well for it has afforded you a very fine shot: the vivid colours show off so well against the black b/g, a favourite presentation of mine, Doerthe.

The squirrels are pests, but as Ronnie stated the best you've saved. Lovely picture of this attractive bloom, which I like very much.
