PhilT2 - these little squirrels are perfectly well adapted to our arctic weather, their fur is very thick.

Peter - they don't hibernate. They come, usually two to four of them, to our bird feeders every day and eat what the birds throw on the ground.

Our squirrels get into the feeders and throw food around, which the birds scavenge--- a most adorable winter image!
