THANK YOU FOR VIEWING LARGE

Sorry to those who commented/clicked/viewed the previous upload. Decided to have a go at this one instead.
Took this photo yesterday at the fishing village of Ban Sarae, near Pattaya. Have to go back there to take some more photos next time, as there were lots of photo opportunities (but, regrettably, no time). Might post the color version tomorrow.

Splendid. Beautifully balanced composition with the glass and the air openings etc. Good mastery of digital B&W too. As in all your photos, it's the humanity they breath that makes them stand out from the rest. Regards, Bert

Beautiful portrait shot and I love the tones... I don't think the cup needs to be there tho.. it's a bit distracting for me, I would rather focus on Siam's thoughtful gaze, the air openings do the balancing work (imo).

only thing I'd change would be to crop more to the right to take out the wall end, otherwise a great photo

Excellent shot.

I noticed that most of the photos on your portfolio are toned. I think that it looks fantastic by the way, especially when you've done a set of images like that. It comes accross as a unique style, very nice to look at!

Like this alot, great contrast in scale between the two Smile Did u try cropping 0,5 cm off the right to removethe corner of the wall? I also think it could have had more impact if all sides were cropped a little (or if u have a closer shot), the weightdifference will be stronger if they are placed more to the sides/further from each other in the image..?

Thanks people
Nicholas, Tommy, this photo gave quite some different crop possibilities. The original included the door on the right (the line you refer to is the doorpost) with her mother working inside.
Cropping closer (for this photo) would probably cause too much of a blow-up effect, but I do have some more (closer) photos of her that I might post later.
I deliberately included the doorpost here for 3 reasons : I kinda liked it; I didn't want to crop too much of the basket below; and... I was hoping it would distract all yours attention from the fact that I didn't capture the girl as sharp as I should have lol (that one worked :o)
Probably I'll post the colour version later today. Crop-wise it will be the same as this one (not because I don't value your comments, but because I'm lazy and don't want to change the "already ready to upload" anymore lol... hope you don't mind)

lol... don't think there is a photo on epz with only 29 clicks, good or bad; somehow people can't pass by it without giving that 30th click lol. But glad you like it. Thanks
