A beautiful scene Suzan and love your composition with the low view over the water.
As you said it might look better without the haze, I've tried a mod to reduce the effect and have also made a poor attempt to remove the halo around the treeline - something to watch out for when your doing HDR

Tim.....Luv what you did, I sucketh at HDR, like I said I am big time practicing, LOL!
I need to email you one that I'm working on before posting first....
The haze came from a blur I stacked onto the HDR, new name is HDRB....LOL!
