Another from Cambodia, on the way back from a afternoon on Tonle Sap lake the sun was getting low and I spotted the sun backlighting this little girl and just as I was framing the shot see gave a little wave.
The title Chum Reap Sue, Cambodian for Hello

I love this, everything is spot on, the light, the composition, the depth of field, the eye contact, the mood... One of the best photographs I've seen on this site for a long time. Hope it gets more than my piddly award

great for all aesthetical reasons but mostly for the expression your caught. There is the raised hand that is somehow something that she associates with reacting to a kind stranger perhaps. At the same time, there is an expression in eyes and entire body that studies the situation, that asks: what is he doing here, what is this situation here? Excellent travel photography that is a comment on the genre itself.
One of the best POTW awards ever!! IMHO....
