Took another trip to Bushy park this morning - lots of noise and posturing from the reds. This little guy caught my eye in the morning sun.

Good to meet a number of Photographers from here including Ron (Maiwand) and Lee Fisher to name just two Smile

I am sure I will bump into a number of you again over the coming month.

A msot splendid deer image, invoking Christmas, and all sorts of other deer legends--- fantastic imagry !

I think it is the light that sets this one apart!

Nice shot - very nice and the light makes it, though the antlers and lack of fishtails means it was sure to be a park deer. Try grunting at them (if your sinuses are up to it - piggy type grunting) and at this time of year its not difficult to pull them in very close - sometimes embarrasingly so!Meaning within feet if they are habituated to people. You are quite safe as long as you don't get them into parallel walking range.

If I could just make a point. Reds and sika are stages/hinds. Everything else is bucks/does.

So beautiful in the mist and rising sun. A lovely image. And, doesn't that look like a big fish hook on his rump...............Sandy

Excellent image, the light really makes the shot.

Interesting to see the time of the shot ValWink

Taken before the harsh light had manifested itself.
Have a well deserved RC on me

Thanks Adrian

Yep was a very early start - left the house at 5am for the drive to london - but it was worth the effort.
