Hi Merlin,
Great image and i see by your portfolio you a biased towards these close up type shots.
For me this is a great example of the use of DoF but perhaps a little over the top for this image. The problem i had was that without your title I would have struggled to know what it was that you'd taken. At this range maybe f/8.0 would have just given us that little bit of detail to the blurred pans that I think we need to identify with them.
Also I think you should just clone out those three white spots in the centre which attract the viewers eye away from the sharper pan which you have at the edge and maybe a couple of those flared spots towards the back of the image.
Otherwise a great shot.

Just to add to whats already been said, - I would have taken this shot differently, and might be worth a try if you have another opportunity. Dont focus on the nearest pot; in this, focus on the second, and largest pot, putting some blur at the right, and decreasing the blur towards the left. I think it would have been more interesting, and would have made it very clear we are looking at pots.
