Today, more by default than bydesign this image caught some "fairy stuff" aka MIDGES!

This is such fun, Michaela - vicariously, of course, because had I been there I would probably have found myself zapping the midges rather than taking their portraits!
Gorgeous light, excellent selection of aperture>dof, a great idea and a great title too!

Makes a change catching fairies/midges. The latter seem to be able to find me wherever I go. Lovely light in this image and rather wonderful actually being able to capture the image of those wee flying blighters!

Great composition and dof - and those midges really do make the image! I'll show them to my husband who says (when I'm being plagued when we're in Scotland) that they don't exist. Here's the proof!!

You'd have wished it was fairies if you start getting bitten by them-especially if it's the Scottish variety. i have never photographed midges let alone fairies-so well done. paul
