This field isn't too far from my house, and I've been standing in it quite a lot lately. Mostly it's been a bit bleak, but every now and again things have brightened up a bit.

This is even better than the previous version!
I love the movement in the grass and the light, which looks like there's a storm brewing. This gives an already very aesthetic scene an extra dimension of atmosphere and emotion, and if that's not what landscape photography is about, then I don't know what is.
Really really good! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks ever so much for having a look - really appreciate your time.
Michael
Wonderful sense of movement and the light and sky are super.

Sometimes the best locations are right on your doorstep, cracking composition and superb light have resulted in a quality image!

Thanks again - and a very nice surprise for it to be highly commended!

yup, totally agree - congrats on the award
Thanks for all the encouraging comments - much appreciated.
Quote: Do you mind if I ask what time of day this was taken?
This was taken about 45 minutes before sunset - I would have tried again a bit later but the sun went in and stayed there (and I'm not sure greenery looks at its best when the light gets orange coloured)
Thank you all ever so much for the encouragment - and particularly to Paul for the Balles (my language skills are a little limited, but I'm sure it's something lovely).
Michael
