Snap shot taken in Tel Aviv. Straight from the camera.
Comments on how to treat this would be appreciated.
I think it looks great just as it is - well done!
Next time you are somewhere urban where the light is like that i.e. just as it is about to go dark but before it actually does - ensure your camera is on a tripod, put your white balance on to tungsten and use a slow shutter speed (probably best to put your camera on a shutter speed priority so that you choose the shutter speed and then the camera will pick the aperture). The sky should then look navy blue and the lights from the moving cars will leave streaks of light. Don't wait till the sky goes dark as it will then be black instead of navy blue. Experiment with different shutter speeds. If you forget to put it on tungsten and you shoot in RAW you can do it in Photoshop but it is best done in the camera. (Don't forget to change it back after you have finished otherwise, if you next shoot an ordinary daylight photo in tungsten, all your pictures will be blue - take it from one who knows!!!)
Thanks Dionne, as always good advice gratefully recieved. On this occassion I only had my little Canon camera with me. Thanks again.
