Clyde Butcher takes stunning landscapes, mostly B+W, mostly in and around South Florida, using an 8x10 view camera. He prints wall-sized masterpieces at his studio out along the Tamiami Trail, west of Miami, and just past Everglades NP's Shark Valley. This little guy was foraging for prey around the cypress knees, right next to Clyde Butcher's studio. He completely ignored me as I took several shots.

Nice shot, i think its a yellow rat snake. i used to have one in my teens.

Good call. It's actually an Everglades rat snake, which is a sub-species of the yellow rat snake. I couldn't believe how laid back he was - I was no more than six feet from him, and he just carried on about his business.
