Hmm, wasn't sure under which category to place this!

A shot of the steeples of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The so-called "unfinished cathedral", it is unlikely to finish if the workmen only spend 2 hours a day on it! I liked that the steeples were dwarved by the cranes that were building it. Quite a contrast to the cathedrals of olde when the steeple point was the highest object ever seen by the townsfolk. I hoped only allowing the steeple tops in the frame would highlight this further.

Slightly! The progress has already taken the original design and added a lot extra to it that wasn't in Gaudi's original idea. I think it will never be finished, as once it is they lose the gimmick of being unfinished Tongue

Is that thing still not finished! Unbelievable. I wonder what Gaudi would have thought of that.

An excellent capture was there last year sad that the cranes dominate what is Gaudis lifeswork and is yet unfinished after his death in 1926 lets hope it is soon as i dont feel leaving it in an unfinishd state as a sort of gimmicky tourist thing does crdit to the genius of Gaudi or to the Christian faith and the people of the great city of Barcelona. P>S how did you like Barcelona

I thought it was wonderful - I'm not one for the usual tourist destinations though. Went to fnac on Diagonal, which I used to visit in France too. Also Chinatown, the high-fashion streets and an incredible little 1 euro Shop Tongue It's an amazing city, I'd like to go back and get to see the tourist areas a bit more.

Great angle you chose Midge! The combination of cathedral steeples and cranes gives it a lovely metaphoric twist. Nicely done!
