A close up view of the combination padlock at the front end of the boat.
And a little bit of evidence that the chain has indeed been painted red !!

A bus? Looks like a padlock to meGrin.
That coating of red paint isn't going to last long.
I like the combination of elements in this, Mick, and the textured boat background.

lots to think about and look at in the image, all working well to gether to tell a story, or rather, ask a question!

Why red paint>|?

Quite a variety of bits an pieces to this one, Mick, with a lot of different textures and tones, all captured in great detail: the red painted links are such a bonus.

A superb piece of observation! Well composed. Lots of interesting 'details' to ponder over - and the great textures of the rust, flaking paint and that red chain! GrinGrin

This is bitingly sharp, Mick, much sharper than the boat itself. Cracking detail and great detail of the cracked paint.

I have no wish to ABUSe my position in the RAS but I think that the chain is actually covered in shrink-on plastic, not pain. At least the plastic is cracking too Smile

On Saturday I posted a picture taken specially for you as repentance for my recent sins against the RAS Rulebook. But you were away on Saturday.

Regards
Bill

I don't know about A BUS Mick, but this image has certainly made the epzers' stop and look. The lack of time at my disposal recently has meant that i am at the back of the queue It looks like you conducted a thorough investigation of that old boat, and just like a ticket inspector on the buses you did not miss a trick!Wink
