A close up view of the combination padlock at the front end of the boat.
And a little bit of evidence that the chain has indeed been painted red !!

A bus? Looks like a padlock to me
.
That coating of red paint isn't going to last long.
I like the combination of elements in this, Mick, and the textured boat background.
Excellent composition Mick, think you've got the right combination to pull in a few clicks here,

they have been painting OVER the rust. sacrilege!
love the rust stains on the 'stainless' steel.
Cracking shot Mick, great colours and textures, good composition too ![]()

A superb piece of observation! Well composed. Lots of interesting 'details' to ponder over - and the great textures of the rust, flaking paint and that red chain! ![]()

Saw the original image. It was very good. This is much closer and has all the elements like interest colour and composition. Also excellent! TG
Good close up Mick. Have you tried guessing the numbers that unlock it? Go on, have a go, but don't fall overboard while you're doing it ![]()

I'm a bit slow this morning, just twigged Pamela's comment... doh!! Could have been worse, it could have been pink!!
Dave
This is bitingly sharp, Mick, much sharper than the boat itself. Cracking detail and great detail of the cracked paint.
I have no wish to ABUSe my position in the RAS but I think that the chain is actually covered in shrink-on plastic, not pain. At least the plastic is cracking too ![]()
On Saturday I posted a picture taken specially for you as repentance for my recent sins against the RAS Rulebook. But you were away on Saturday.
Regards
Bill

Mick responds exceptionally well to pink, Dave, but only on the right pair of pins.
like the lines brackets locks and bolts with sold red chain and flaked paint
So much to see here Mick -
red ....................what more can be said, except I agree with Bill that it looks like plastic ![]()
rust obviously and also texture
Nice one

Lovely sharp details Mick.great colours,well done..Lin
who would bother to paint a chain ....
bit like stuffing a mushroom ....
I don't know about A BUS Mick, but this image has certainly made the epzers' stop and look. The lack of time at my disposal recently has meant that i am at the back of the queue It looks like you conducted a thorough investigation of that old boat, and just like a ticket inspector on the buses you did not miss a trick!![]()
