I suppose looking at this, manufacturers do have an
argument for making their products from plastic.
It does seem to be lasting better than the metal !!

Blue plastic too! Oh how they ruin perfect rust shots!
They want to spoil your fun!
But it makes a great contrast so theorist shows better!
Excellent Mick, that splash of blue catches the eye,
Fred.
Nice detail as always, the blue plastic dose give extra life to comp, like the grain of the wood against
the rust.
Paul.
Nice one Mick - diagonals and complementary colours. You enhance rust all the time ![]()

Just shows my mind set at present, that blue bit looks like a piece of Lego with all the bumpy bits at the bottom. I could add it into the Lego blue tower, or into the Lego stable. Would look good in the imaginary Lego zoo too although with the brand name sterling there the boys would probably request a Lego train station to add to the track. Another day of me doing painting, Lego, playing with Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and reading stories for my two three-year old grandsons, as it is pouring with rain here![]()
Great detailed rust, great lines and colours and that little bit extra, a piece of plastic![]()

Sterling work, Mick! You can't pit rust against plastic... only one winner.
Dave
I'd love to know how the plastic performs in comparison with the Kentish Fluffy White Rust in my photograph yesterday, Mick.

A nice bit of light on this, Mick, and a good, thoughtful composition.

Bill
Excellent image Mick, superb textures and colours, blue plastic !!! how environmentally unfriendly, at least rust looks good and returns from whence it came ...................... eventually ![]()

I don't think a plastic padlock and chain would be as strong as metal - even if the metal is rusty! Give me rust any day! ![]()

Lots of colour and texture Mick, and a litttle bit of sun shine..Lin
Careful Mick, if manufacturers hear you they may make everything from plastic and rust would eventually disappear forever, imagine that.
Great shot, I like the mix of natural, partly natural partly manmade and manmade.
Andy
A keen observation Mick, and a Stirling image.

Terrific textures in this image Mick, you have every right to feel blue I heard on the news last night when they focused on the weather, that Edinburgh had only one hour of sunshine so far this month!
This must be the only blue you've seen for ages!
