I thought I would broaden my horizons with a floral upload here.
Unlike other flower uploads I have seen on site,I do not need an ID as I know what they are.
It is just an ordinary concrete post and a bit of high tensile steel chain !!
Reminds me of beauty and the beast. - gary
Pretty flowers and rust.I am really impessed Mick..Lin
The mind boggles about what the block and chain are doing there. An intriguing juxtaposition well captured.
Great perspective and juxtaposition.
How sad! You're going all soft, Mick.
I could not name your rusty contribution but I recognise begonias, petunias and the leaf of a geranium.
But it is interesting how these disparate elements can sit in comfy close relationship, neither one overwhelming the other.
(PS........I went soft years ago but you knew that......must be something to do with the water......R)
Great combination Mick.
Super composition Mick, like it,
Mick, great pov, strong detail and colour.........rust and beauty.
Thought I had hidden that ball and chain.........
House-warming party and I wasn't invited, lol???????????!!!!!!! Dear Mr. Alan Titchmarsh, TLC required, occasionally!!!!!!! No take seriously, if they're artificial!!!!!!! Mick, really, really nice composition!!!!! Enjoy your flowers and........RUST, of course!!!!!! Ania
I knew you'd do it one day.
Guess you've had a Iron Brew too many!
I'm impressed! Would never have guessed this was one of yours. The post top and chain sit so neatly within the frame, and I love the way the chain sinks into the bed of flowers. Arty-farty composition, Mick, but I love it.
Beautiful Mick--- a perfect combo--- except, where is he old rotten boat?
note to self--- find something new to photograph--as in like what mick did--- (next month)
Super point of view Mick the rust goes nicely with the flora
A picture of complete contrasts but it works so well.
Well well well! Flowers from the rust meister but never fear, there's a wee bit of water damage on the petunias.
Did not think that this was yours, great shot.
What are we going to see tomorrow? some flowers?
love the pov mick wonderful detail and colour a cracker nice one
Brilliant pov Mick and you are the only person I know who could put up flowers that look as though they are going rusty and get away with it Great composition!
What a great find that chain is ....
I am absolutely gobsmacked! Flowers and you on the same page Mick!! Just had to record it for posterity!!!
Look carefully and I think you'll find that your petunias are going rusty...
Looks like your ball and chain from an earlier incarceration, Mick.
Do I not recognise this scene?
Is that not the ball and chain that Jan uses to make sure you stay in the garden and do the weeding now and again?
I thought so.
At least she has allowed you the indulgence of a rusty ball.
Love the composition, Mick!
Could it be a monster size hanging basket !! needing a chain like that ??
Only you could upload a flower image like this Mick, nice one.
Flowers today, gnomes tomorrow. A slippery slope.
I know some people will nick just about anything these days, but having to chain flowers up to a piece of concrete is just getting silly!
Didn't think you were into flowers our Mik but you have a good image here
I could do with one of these for the kitchen so as to keep the wife chained to the sink where she belongs!!!!
"Now diving for cover!"
Whhooaa !!!!!.......Mick, rust & horticulture !!!....I'm impressed !!
You'll be replacing gardener 'Titchmarsh' next ?....at least you're better-looking than he is !!!!.
My clematis at my last house used to get an attack of rust Mick - you'll have to keep looking.
'Great Flowers & "RAS" Image rendering,' Mick~

Next, I want to see you Mick in Pink Cardigan, please lol,!!!!!! Deal??????????? Ania
You'll be replacing gardener 'Titchmarsh' next ?.... !!!!
Yeah, in Scottish version,lol!!!!!!! Ania
quite like the juxtaposition here
there must be rusty flowers
Brilliant view point Mick, hope you didn't fall off of anything.
MikBee goes floral, you had me fooled there Mick. On closer inspection I see that a good few of these flowers could do with being deadheaded. So you still managed to slide in a bit of grot besides the rusty ball.
A good capture. Moira
good job the chain keeps the flowers in place, what would they do without it!
btw this is VERY pretty rust.
Quote: Flowers today, gnomes tomorrow.
Doesn't take long to make 'RUSTY' gnomes, lol!!!!!!!!! Ania
Nicely spotted Mik and such a change from your norm..
*GASP*...hang on...the FLOWERS are in focus and the RUST isn't??
I need to lie down...
I would call this a "Rust Epique" image!
Definetly new ground...flowers included Mick
sweet smelling too.
but you have a winner here for us all
It would not be the same with out the rust! lol. you would ind rust Coloured flowers if it came to it! cheers, regards Leon.
The grotty past their best flowers complement the rusty post and chain so well, a good match indeed
