but a common style on the storeroom buildings down at the docks !!

I can see Big Aggie's fingerprints all over this one. Splendid oxidation here.
Brilliant shot Mick, great textures and tones, well spotted and captured.
Hugh
The butler's not going to see much through that keyhole, Mick. Cracking corrosive capture ![]()
Dave
Excellent composition, Mick. The door-knob is so in-your-face that it's making my eyes go wobbly
Powerful stuff!

Bill
An apology: Re: fluffy white bits
Thank you for the castigation you administered to me yesterday. I accept the admonishment with due humility. I hope you will understand when I explain that my transgression was inadvertent. My copy of the R.A.S. rulebook breaks off at the page turn after Rule 1 Paragraph 2(d) Subsection ii Clause 4 ("..... without the application of axle grease") and does not resume until Rule 7 Paragraph 1(f) Subsection iv Clause 9 (" ....... that leather thongs may be considered an acceptable substitute in an emergency.")
There seem to be several pages missing in between.
I have a hunch that these missing pages are the ones that we mulled over during that memorable meeting in Carlisle a couple of years ago. I recollect little except discarding a sheaf of papers in the bin outside the pub before heading for the last bus. They were completely illegible due to being rather damp and strongly Guinness-flavoured.
- Were they the Missing Link?
- When is the Bondage Division?
- Why is Big Aggie?
Perhaps it is about time we arranged another committee meeting to sort out these and other pressing matters.
Well spotted mick, I can see you will come with more of this glorious stuff!
Putting on the style, eh? I can remember that hit song y Lonnie Donegan when I were a lad!
This looks to have been meticulously painted around the rusty bits, just for you capture, Mick! ![]()

Mick, nice one, great detal with years of rust and pain thrown in for good measure........![]()
Paul.
Great find a good rusty knob accompanied by the keyhole, you don't do things in halves our Mik
Mick, you'll never get that big lump in that small hole! (I bet Big Aggie says that to you all the time
)
Malc
Looks like the door to the treasury, never been opened, well spotted Mick
Rust in the highest degree Mick, it's a wonder the Door is still there, though I can't imagine it is ever open ( or closed, which ever the case may be)

Why bother painting the door if you are not going to do anything about the door knob and keyhole, most bizarre! A great find Mick and a good contrast between the old and the new
Class piece of rust Mick,
Quote: Ooooo dont think I would fancy twiddling that![]()
I am talking about the handle![]()

Love the colour of that paint, very vintage.
Diane
I am so tempted to comment on this comment but I am trying to behave,,
It looks like a metal door Mick,,,,give it a few years and kill the painter,,
