The old boiler at the mine, and made in the day of joining the steel with rivets.
It goes without saying that it had to be secure and watertight.
But today,it will probably have more leaks in it than WikiLeaks had !!

A riveting capture Mick, excellent colour and textures,
Fred.
Boilerplate! Guess they watched the pressure guages carefully. No bulges anywhere. TG
Fantastic bit of rust Mick, superb textures and colours.

A wonderful burst of Rust Mick, and made in the Days when things where built to be permanent.

Has a rustic, home-chewed look, none of the lines regular or matching. Nice one.

Given her age the old boiler is standing up quite well, though I have serious doubts about how she would perform under pressure.
Still, no point getting too stressed - she makes for riveting viewing as it is ![]()
We met one of her relatives at Beamish recently; you might call her Great Gertie. I'll post a photo of her one day.
Love the pattern of the rivets here, Mick: a big smiling mouth but no nose!
Regards
Bill

When I read the title I was expecting at least one frog!! ![]()

I was going to say a very riveting image, but danbrann has just beaten me to it!
It amazes me where you find all this rust, I struggle to find any! ![]()

This isn't just rust. This is rust caught in fanTAStic light. Niiice.
And the smile in it looks like that smile in the Peugeot 407's mug! Although the latter just looks weird.
Forgot to mention earlier...it's not just the feather duster which got packed. Also glasses and a bossy disposition.
Andrew
Great Mick great, there's an art to it, when you see those men in the old days throwing the red hot rivetts about, have to admire them, they got the blame for the Titanic's fall but i think it was an overweight necklace ![]()
A very riveting image Mick, just what we've come to expect from you
wonderful texture and shade in those rivets. well composed and extremely knobbly.
