A bit of rust that is still working. The base of a small crane that is used to lift the boats out of the water at the boating club.
A bit old in the tooth looking, but so will we according to some idiots at Westminster who tell us we will have to work until we are 75 years old !!

No chance that crane gets nicked!
but someone tried to undo the left bolt.
well spotted, Mr Rust eagle eye!
(btw Frank doesn't bark. he just looks at clients who don't want to pay and says with a voice deeper than Louis Armstrong rrrrrRRRR.. they don't need a debt collector at the garage. )
Suitably grotty but still colourful and still going strong...... the bolts are good too ![]()

the colour is wonderful opposite blue/yellow makes it balanced
I feel like that each morning Mick, come to Auss mate, we let you quit at 67 now.
Another good one Mick, even the daubed blue paint has taken on the rust…
Oh my, where do we dig this 'Pollies' up from??…… They won't have to work that long.
Ask them to give up there 'Super" payments for the tax payers that have put them there.
Cut out the benifits to those who bludge. For those who want a big family then get a job.
For those who want tattoo's and piecings then get a job.
For those who have defended their country give them the praise and benifits.
I could stand on my saop box for ever as the government here too has plunged us into huge debt..
but we are allowed to retire before 70.

Like the blue hues coming thru... Good crisp rust close up & nicely balanced... Well spotted
I think we may all look a bit crusty by75. This is bearing up remarkably well.
And you know I love the blue paint/rust combination.

must have been assembled by network rail mick they got done recently for leaving lock nuts undone.I have been doing some concrete fencing ,by myself,i had forgotten how heavy those base panels are and how old i am,but its good to know i am keeping the boys in London in the manner to which they have become accustomed,Ba-----ds!!!
Blue paint is used to preserve the rust beneath in good condition until you come along and photograph it. Of course.
A nice natural diptych. Sometimes up, sometimes down.
Regards
Bill

I like the divide between these two Mick, a classic Mikbee shot, smashing!
And if we have to work til we're 75, all the youngsters will be trying to kill us off, so they can have our jobs![]()

Not me, it gets in the way of photography! A great combination of colours here, Mick - and with all this rain about lately it will be encouraging more rust! ![]()

Multilayered rust, wow! As always great capture with beautiful colours and textures. I have found some BRILLIANT rust for you here in Calpe which I have yet to photograph, but I will, I promise.
Terrific detail and textures in this one Mick, I'm sure you will be on here long after the age of 75 working hard at finding more examples of rust and grot for us to view!
The pealing paint is fantastic and the way one side seems to be decaying quicker than the other.
Great shot Mick.
