Steve I do like the expansiveness of V3 but really do like the V1 composition. There's really great attention to detail here, especially around the edges. For example the rock on the left plays a crucial role in keeping the eye from wandering out of the frame. Whilst the lighting is what it is and I wouldn't for a minute suggest drastically trying to manipulate it to the extreme, I do think that a slight curves adjustment and saturation boost would add some extra depth and subtly accentuate those great natural colours.

You've really found some great vantage points here. I dare say you might find another photographer loitering with intent next time you pay it a visit
