Beautiful, Mike. I think I like this even more than the mono version. I like the soft details in the clouds and I think the blue and orange go well together.

I've taken shots from this viewpoint myself but none of them are as anywhere near as effective as this! I used to blame the light but now I think it has far more to do with subtle differences in the composition. This is so perfectly balanced. Hmm, making me think. Smile

Are the flag stones really that blue? No matter, they match perfectly with the rest of the image, making for a very striking well composed shot.

The stones were very wet Tracey and were reflecting the natural light, which was very cool and blue due to the overcast conditions and the fact that it was getting pretty dark by this point. I have actually taken quite a bit of the blue out with a colour balance adjustment

I always find it tricky getting a good balanced composition here and have also taken some shots that just don't seem to quite work. I've photographed here on a much higher tide before but looking at this shot I really like the fact that you can see so many levels both above and below the water descending into the distance.

Like the details and tones in this Mike.
Think it works just as well in colour as mono
