This is a nice pose of an American Red Tailed Hawk or Red Tailed Buzzard as we call it in the UK.
Hi Mike, Nope it is definately a Red Tail & a female looking at the size of her. She looks a real beauty.
Bateleurs are very different, plus they have a very short tail & are black/red. Type in Bateleur Eagle & Red tailed Hawk in Google images & have a look at the difference.
Ooh, so fine. Good capture/colours/details/ presentation. Incidently, what a lovely colour combination!
