This photo was part of a project of wild animals taken at Warwick castle recently.
I was trying to capture the immense beauty of this huge bird but also to depict the fierce dangerous character.
I shot this in raw and then tweaked in CS3.

Actually works quite well on an iPad! Very sharp picture, maybe the best I've ever seen of the face of one of these magnificent birds. The eagle is thriving in my area of the Mississippi river in western Illinois. It is an experience to see them dive for fish. Their speed is simply incredible.
