...it was Todorov day in my country/February 20011/.According to the legend this is the day when St. Todor went before god to pray for summer. On Todorov Day people usually put on a horse race within their community. Early in the morning food is given to the horses.The men also compete each other on who is the quickest to receive a new bridle for their horse . After the race the contestants do the traditional dances.All these rituals are done to insure health, prosperity and a good harvest in the spring.

There's terrific built-up tension in this. The low viewpoint creates a really involving feel, we're right in the action.

I thought for a minute I was looking at an image from Texas 
Wonderful point of view and action in this. The horse is not having any of it, and the tension from the onlookers is palpable. Wonderful capture.
