X marks the spot.

Like it - would consider cropping the top to remove the intruding tree and make the composition a bit more dynamic - i.e. take horizon off centre

Vignette is a bit heavy for me on the left hand side and I feel the image would look better with masking of this vignette both to the left edge and the right edge. Good moody mono though and a location I have visited once but it was pouring with rain.

That's amazing, I think it is more dramatic with a panoramic crop to lose the tree line. Cheers, Martin

Superb - these guys are hyper as if they have had too much caffeine. Lovely clean background.

Minimalist image that works wonderfuly well - almost monochrome too with the blues and whites. Excellent

Brilliant - like it even better as a square crop - lovely minimalist image - would make a brilliant canvas.

That I like. Wasn't keen on your zoom burst upload but this is a beauty.

Glencoe Mono

I am not a fan of this composition due to the tree bisecting the mountain - but in this case the composition does work well with the light on the mountain - too many images have a black mountain due to over-gradding. What lets the image down a touch is the blown out sky top left as well as another tree breaking the horizon line left of frame and I wonder if a 10x8 crop to lose the left of frame which is blown out would strengthen the image. As others a great range of tones and the tree cutting the mountain cannot be helped from this viewpoint so all in all one of the best I have seen (with the crop) due to the superb lighting on the mountain. Cheers, Martin

Intriguing minimalist image. A little more light on the viewers face would improve for me to give the impression of a real sky through the hole!

Wedding

Like Paul I feared the worst but this is very respectable.

As for improving I would crop to below the picture frames - as the picture is the brightest point in the image and draws the eye about the grooms head and clone the hotspot on the best mans head - though in practise I would leave this in the proofs and maybe retouch for the album if they picked this image.

For the ceremony did he get them to face one another as you would get the back of the brides head - i.e. the vicar has you on the wrong side of the ceremony. As Paul always shoot RAW as a beginner at weddings for more latitude with processing.

Oh and pay attention guest in the back!
