This is another first for me, my first Woodpecker. I am thinking this is a Greater Spotted Woodpecker but I am happy to be corrected if it is not. As I sat there in my little hide I saw this bird land high in the oak tree. It didn't come down to the food that I had put out but was happily doing what woodpeckers do, pecking away at the rotten parts of the tree, looking for bugs. It would have been nice for it to have come a bit closer, maybe next time it will.
