why is this image pinky purple??

Why is it pinky and purple? Cos that's what colour the twilight sky was! This was a good 20 minutes or so after sunset. The cause of the sky colour I don't know - particles in the atmosphere? I'm no meteorologist! Wink

Having lived on six continents (and no, I won't try out Antartica just to say I've done 'em all!) I've seen all sorts of colours in the sky from purple, to yellow, to pink, purple, brown, black etc...I especially loved the colours of the sky over the Highveld in South Africa....
