A distinguished looking gentleman I saw at a Victorian Day and took him to one side to take some impromptu portraits because I loved the look. This was taken just out of harsh direct sunlight in the doorway of an old victorian school toilet. Who said photography was glamorous :o)

Tip top expression of both.

Just one thing I noticed when I took this .. he holds his right arm bent, almost naturally, as if he was so very used to carrying an officer's swagger stick that even without it he still did the same .. I never got to ask him if he was military but his whole stance and the bent arm gives a regimented feel and sense of pride associated with a military background.

Just had a look at all your pic's love them all but this one is just brill. Love the way this guy looks and so full of character, well done great shot Wink

Thanks Mr Bloggs .. he did look great. Just a stranger so I stopped and asked if I could photograph him .. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks chris, it has had a slight vignetteping, normal contrast and sharpness (sharpness to make the most if cloth detail and skin), a little toning down of over bright hands as they were in the sun more, and some dust spots on the jacket removed .. Not much more that i can think of. It was done jpg on an old Sony dsc-r1 bridge camera. I have reedited in mono and redone it but each version is only slightly different and is only a quick job.
