Pillar is the iconic mountain that overlooks the lonely Ennerdale Valley, but across the valley is the High Stile ridge that many hill walkers claim to be one of the finest ridges in the Lake District. This photo was taken from Kirk Fell.

The ridges always look so wide down there, some of ours are like walking on the top of the wardrobe, not that I've tried either. Beautiful colours up here on the tops.
