The inside of an apartment block in Naples caught my eye. It's like the cheap man's version of the spiral staircase at the Vatican!!

Thanks for looking!!

Fino!

Your picture allows us to appreciate the architecture, the metalwork - the bars are elegant, yet simple-, the light that illuminates from various directions I suppose Smile

Black and white gives it a nice feeling.

It may be a poor man's house (supposedly) but it still stands the earthquicks.

Love this, particularly with the skylight at the top to complete the geometry.

Keep coming back to this. It has the qualities that are important for me. It's slightly disorientating, it makes the brain work. Plus it's a'found' abstract composition. Plus it's about the beauty of the very mundane.
Oh and because it's b&w it's all about lines, structures, there are no distractions.
Wish I had taken it...

Gosh, that's a long way up. I wonder if there was a lift.
Superbly simple and lovely lines.

I like the way you have composed this placing the lightwell at the top with the three steps providing a lead-in at the bottom. The light and the toning are beautifully done.
