flowers often take on another type of beauty when they are dying
Oh and by the way - a belated Happy New Year to you all too
Outstanding Sue..if you don't get a Premier Award for this I will be amazed. One of the best shots I have seen. Wonderful colour and superb detail. Happy new Year.

Your title says it all Sue.
Superb Sue, fantastic botanical study. Good enough for Garden photographer of the Year. Enter it! Ron.
DROP DEAD GORGEOUS work Sue !!!
stunning work Sue and h/n/y.
That curled petal, combined with the shallow depth of field, gives this a dance-like feeling of movement. Beautiful.
that was my first thought, a dancing flower/looks like the petals are blowing in the wind - whereas the truth is Rig A Mortis had set in by the time I took the shot - LOL
thanks again for your comments and
THANK YOU Peter (morpyre) for your user award
its a very classy image
Quality photography thro out here Sue, a real pleasure to view and a stunning presentation to put it mildly,
One word STUNNING.
Beautiful shot Sue and love the delicate colours and fine detail and patterns.
I like the couple of soft blurry petals, but I would personally have preferred just a touch more DOF so that all the details of the head are sharp (had to look it up, but I think I'm referring to the anthers)
outstanding beauty! Excellent Sue
Very very good Sue.
Brilliant, stunning, amazing!
Cheers everyone for your comments
Great title too

Quick look - click - run. Sorry no time for more.
love the way youve caught this.lesley
Drop dead gorgeous, a real class act
This goes to prove that flowers don't need to be in prime condition to make a good subject, a great image well lit and composed.
