These Whooper swans were taken on a frozen lake on the Japanese island of Hokkaido.
The distorted perspective is caused by the low angle of shot and the use of a fisheye lens.

I don't think I can recall seeing a fish-eye used for wildlife, the result here is delightfully surreal.
