this shot was taken a couple of weeks after the british grand prix, at the silverstone classic event..
( it is a ford/lotus cortina if anybody wants to know) MK1
Great car , great shot .
good panning of a great classic car..............Trev
I have owned a couple of those but they never went that fast. Nice one. Andy
Think I've mentioend before I'm not a great motor sport fan but you do these so well I keep getting drawn in! Another technically great image
Another excellent capture Scott. Good feeling of motion and uncluttered background make this a cracker.
Looks like the Lotus MK1, great car, could never afford one back then, but stood and admired those that could.
yes it is the ford/lotus cortina mk1,..
Great shot. You have got a feeling speed in this capture
Great shot it made me go a bit dizzy looking at it . You really have caught the feeling of motion . Well done . Gillian
Great panning shot!
I wish they kept the original colour White with green stripe but really good panning mate

Quote: I wish they kept the original colour White with green stripe but really good panning mate
i have got a shot of one of these i white with green stripe..
Great picture Scott, I remember being impressed by seeing Harold Wilson on the TV because he had what I thought was a fantastic car. (it was one of these but I don't know if it was red as TV was all black & white in those days!!!!).
You have a fine set of images in your P/F, well done.
Supe shot- a great reminder of the past for me--I recognised it almost straight away-Thanks for showing it
I remember these on the road daily
Linda I am now feeling very old !
It's great to see these old cars still racing Scott, a fine looking pan shot Sir .. this takes me back to my youth. :o)
Remember them well Scott. Excellent shot, good panning, lovely colours
A great shot Scott,
Recognised the car from the thumbnail straight away. Great bit of panning Scott.
great shot and great portfolio for a young photographer keep at it and you will go far
Good panning technique has resulted in an image with the feeling of movement, rather than the static shots we see so much of.
Would be improved if it was cropped top and bottom to remove the distractions at the edge of the frame
Well taken all the same.
I remember the days when Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill etc, used to race the Works Team Lotus Cars, on 3 wheels around most bends. They were a treat to watch
A difficult shot captured really well. Excellent panning!
The detail and colour are superb, well captured.................
Superb shot, very well taken. I had a mk2 1500 Cortina which broke down every 10 miles. I still loved driving it.
The old Cortina..driven a few of these in the past....not quite as fast tho'
Those were the days; Lotus Cortina was one of my favourite cars of that era, and even the road version really shifted, well over the ton...Great piece of nostalgia for this ageing motorhead :o)
A top shot of this classic car, great sense of speed
Simply superb - this great old motor is really flying.
God I'm old!
Great shot of a great motor!
Stunning capture,so good my dads fave car.
Good capture and like the movement of the picture
