Another view of the knight from yesterday, this time about to leave to take part in the joust, he does look more than a little hot in all that Armour. You can see the damage the lances do to the shields, which are made out of a thick plywood

Certainly makes me appreciate knights must have had to put up with more than blows from the opposition as they must have been half-cooked inside that armour! Fascinating image.

The shield is very battle-worn, so he must be quite an experienced jouster. I'm fascinated by the reflections showing within his armour. A pity that tent opening wasn't closed, giving him a cleaner background.
