It has been a bad few days.
I arrived at my Dad's house on Friday morning to find him passed out on the sofa barely breathing.
So I call 999 . while asking for a ambulance dad stops breathing. I get him on floor and give CPR with operators help.ambulance men say I helped them to keep dad alive.
Dad has been sedated in hospital and has a machine to help him breath since Friday dinner time. He stopped breathing 3 times. Now waiting to see if he can breath on his own tomorrow. So I am posting this photograph as I am smiling through the heartache. I hope he pulls through.
Sorry I am behind with comments and votes . I am catching up when time allows. please bare with me.

Hope your dad is getting better by the minute. Sounds like you saved his life there Zoe. Not everyone would have had the strength of thought to do what you did. ....Peter

Thank you for the support ,comments and votes. The doctors ,nurses and ambulance men all said my quickly giving dad CPR as soon as he stopped breath gave them the help to give him a fighting chance to live. Dad is sedated still, so his body can recover. But it's all looking better. Going to be a slow process. He opened his eyes and squeezed the nurses hands this am .

cpr
well done

i think as a qualified first aider you did save his life,
if someone stops breathing its always better to try
than to do nothing
hope her recovers well
