Another blue tit, it was nice and sunny yesterday which really helped with the colours. Hand held again
300mm@ f5.6

Reworked this a little thanks for the comments on the previous upload, Paul(sut68) thanks for pointing the edge out to me.
cropped a little differently background has been blurred a little to help the bird stand out, unfortunately there isn't enough space behind this perch for the DOF to be as effective as I would like, need a better lens Wink

Much better Mo.

The bird looks more natural now against the backdrop. However, there is a slight amount of noise on the bird and not on the bgnd now - due to blurring of the bgnd - a hazzard of this technique I'm afraid.

Much better though.

A lovely capture here Mo with excellent colours and super detail in the feathers.The light,shadows and textures are great as well.Like the dof too.

You keep promissing yourself that lens Mo. Just how good will your shots be then???? Love the light here, what shutter speed was you at?? Gonna give it a go without the tripod.

Thanks all, appreciate your coments as always.

Davey it was 1/500 normally get away with hand holding up to about 1/300, the sun was quite bright on sunday normally have to shoot at ISO400.

Another great shot Mo! I don't know, must be my smell. I point a long lens in the general direction of wildlife and anything smaller than a hippo bolts for greener pastures.... Got a lot of great shots of blurry rear-ends tho!
