Very early morning at the Poulnabrone Dolmen, in the heart of the Burren, Co. Clare. A megalithic tomb approx 4000 yrs old, and one of the most photographed sites. If you do ever pan a visit, get there early or late as it is visited by the coachload... literally. My first drive past the site, I did not stop due to the 3 coaches parked at the roadside, and yes, we all have a right to visit, I just chose to go back at a less crowded time.

3 stop ND soft grad.

Now that is neat. I particularly like the hilighted area of sky around the standing stones.

Thanks for your comments and feedback.
Tommie - I'm sorry you do not like the sky, but as this was the nearest I got to a good sunrise whilst in the region, it had to do, and then it only lasted a few minutes.
Kris - I hadn't noticed that, the dark at the top I can put down to the grad, the rest? It is also on some of the other shots. I am now hoping that this is not another symptom of the cameras salty bath near the start of the holiday, the files also seem a little more noisy than usual and even a simple levels adjustment makes the images look trashy.
Regards
Andy

really great capture Andy. You have captured a fantastic mood and feeling of atmosphere here. The tint in the sky works really well without making it look too false...don't loose it!!. Lovely work Smile

Very effective composition, Andrew - I love the way you've arranged it so that the tomb stands out against that delicious sky.
