This was taken last Tuesday evening when Goggz very kindly met up with me and took me to Newborough. We walked to Llanddwyn Island and took some photos. We were hoping for a good sunset but that did not happen.

When we came to the cannon in front of the cottages I thought it would be good to play with the flash. When I looked in my bag it was not there I had left it in my car back in Beaumaris. Pete to the rescue!!

I like this even though it is rather dark it really shows up the detail in the wood of the cannon. It could even be a spotlight rather than a flash.

A good place to visit in my opinion.

Thanks for a good evening Pete.

Thanks for looking - any comments critique welcome.

Robbie

I think this probably didn't attract much interest because of the dark nature of the shot. I like it though, particularly how you can just see the lighthouse(?) in the background.

It's an old beacon I think Ian. The lighthouse is over to the right out of shot. You'd better come over and check it out for yourself Wink

Nicely done Robbie Smile I particularly like the fact you managed to get that beacon to show up and I can just see some sky too! Shame about that sunset, eh... we'll have to do it all over again! Drag the old man with you next time.

Got wet later that week when Tooth & I went there - the tide had come in...

Hi All

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back. I would like to thank you all for your comments.

Sorry to hear that you and Tooth got wet there - I think we timed it well Pete.

Looking forward to being over there and taking some more photos in the near future.

When I looked at this shot at work it was very dark - my pc is not as well calibrated as the one we have at home. Only the cannon was visible with non of the back ground in view.

Thanks one again Robbie
