Hi All, here's another one from the Stockley Bird of Prey Centre last September.

This is a young kestrel who was brought out just for Paul & I. He was a real cutie and a poser, hope I've captured his good side! Wink

Deliberately mucked about with the aperture on this - taken @ f5.6 as I just wanted to focus on the eye - - not sure of it works, but I AM sure you'll tell me! Smile

Thanks for looking, only two days to the weekend - easily do-able! Wink

Oh, and Carol - - curry for tea tonight! Grin

Super close up Fran and a great eye, being in that close though on 5.6 will give such a shallow dof I would personally have gone for about F8 so that the bill was in focus as well.

Fierce as they may be, I think the kestrels are the cutest of all the raptors, and this youngster certainly has a big helping of Cute Factor 10 : )

Wow, this has been beautifully taken, we never really do see beautiful birds up close like this.

Very nice picture.
