The b&w conversion was a last-minute idea. See V2 for colour. Not quite straight-out-of-camera – this has had a crop and a lot of despotting, but I deliberately left in some grot along the diagonal line for a hint of texture. No other fiddling.
The subject is probably fairly obvious but I'm not going to spell it out...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Just make sure you get that cleaned off if it's on your car - that mixture can really mess up a good paint job ![]()

Well it seems we all have a good knowledge and understanding of birds***, james an interesting image a ghost on a stick. I thought at first it was a deflated image of the Moon on a stick. The diagonal is of course a fine addition to this unusual image Moira.

bird poo looks like the moon melting like a Dali watch
I don't think I'd have guessed this at all (but I blame the lap top!). Great abstract.

Much more diplomatic than I expected. Well you didn't have much difficulty working this out, did you? I may have to find something harder.
Anne, we had torrential rain shortly after I took this, did the job for me!
Thanks everyone. I have a very busy day, so I'm just calling in. Have to go and photograph some Council gardeners, and then some residents at a care home.
