V2 was the picture that I really wanted, but later I realised that I had V1 hidden away in a much bigger frame.
V3 - He didn't open his envelope, by the way. Half an hour later it was still sealed, tucked in his jeans back pocket. Boys do that, girls don't.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Is it all about being cool or laid back or whatever the current phrase is? Images that tell a story Moira.

Precisely, Albert. The girls jump up and down and go into group hugs. You very rarely see the boys do that.

In the old days, it was a question of waiting for all the hard copies to arrive by post from the different exam boards and then sorting them into the envelopes. Now the results are downloaded at school, but they are still printed, enveloped and handed over individually. We are wondering how long that will last - eventually I'm sure it will just be done by email or text.
It's still one of the bonding experiences of school life, shared tension and celebrations. I think that's important.
Thanks everyone.

I remember sitting in my car in the car park of my son's school and he waited until he got into the car before opening his.

Tried the laid back look myself but ended up looking a bit nerdy just as he does here. Terrific facial expression and stance. I bet he opens it in the toilets. I hope he's got good results, he looks like a really nice kid.

I wonder if he already knew the result? He's a cool dude if he didn't. Great T-shirt, a bookcase on his chest.

Great sequence Moira, particularly love V3 as it says it all.

I think coolness in boys is a problem sometimes. They hide stuff that they could get help with if they would just TELL you what it is they're worried about (I know I have one myself and also was one myself....a LONG time ago). Girls don't go in for that kind of silliness as a rule!
kind regards,
Robin

A typical Lad Moira. I suppose he will take it to the loo and have a quite look at his results then.

I have heard the expression ''a walking library'' before Moira,
so reckon this guy must be it !!
A good bit of practice I think not to open the envelope.
Puts him in good stead for adult life not to open the bills !!
Mick.

Vs 2 and 3 are photojournalism at its best and most artistic SmileSmile

As for V1 and what you wrote, I am VERY curious about his results. Him not looking at 'em and stuffing the envelope into his back pocket could mean:

(a) He doesn't give a monkey's, or
(b) He's totally aced it and knows it.

I reckon it's (b).

One wonders why he isn't opening the envelope. Is he expecting the worst?

I agree with andy's comment, he has put it very well.
just one more detail... he has got a sense of humour... you can tell that from the words 'fat face' on his t shirt- he is the mobile library but seems to take things lightly. Including the results

He probably saw the camera! I don't blame him at all. The pressure, the nerves!
I'd open mine in private too! Every time!
