The shallow focus is magical Moira, a tidal wave of rust engulfs the beach.

I like that idea. I was aiming for the horizon to echo the line of the rusty edge, I tried several compositions, this was the nearest I got to what I wanted.

Thanks for a wonderful compliment Chris, that's how it should be!
Cheers everyone, hope the week treats you well.

Thanks everyone, and particular thanks to Annette for her UA which is very much appreciated.
I have talked Bill into pruning the garden, we may both be absent for some time...

Rust. Hey that's Mick's job. He'll be after you with the union, putting him out of a job. ![]()
A very alternative view of the beach.
I agree with Davey but a very good shot all the same ![]()

I find this bit of rust rather upsetting Moira.
It puts me in mind of a ginger snap biscuit which I have a grear desire for.
Sadly, these days are at an end for me since I got all my maulers pulled out.
I would need falsers made from steel instead of plastic to get me back on track !!
Mick.
A very fine specimen of rust, Moira, super tones and textures. The depth of field is just about right, throwing the boat enough out of focus, yet retaining its shape ![]()

Wonderful image Moira, and no doubt as to where it was taken ![]()

aniamoore beat me to it, Moira. A slightly over-baked brandy snap it is. Try one minute less baking time .![]()
Vanilla sauce in the background is particularly appropriate.
