I thought I maybe needed a bit of grit in the diet after yesterday's rather atypical baby upload. So here is rust on a monumental scale, at Beamish. Striking these tubes produced a wonderful echoing sound.
Bill had bagged the other end so I wandered along to this end where I reckoned the light would be much better...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Morning neighbour! Snap Grin, love the silhouette of Bill at t'other end. The curve of the drum makes an almost sensual base for the tubes.

Lovely rust here Moira and the addition of the silhouetted Bill at the other end is brilliant!

Beautifully composed. Curves of rust against the plain back shadow with the "other end" just in the right place.
I can just imagine Bill banging on the tubes. Grin

I hope you didn't bang the tube while Bill's head was inside? LOL. Poor man.
Love the POV and depth Moira.

Good morning folks and thank you. I should add that I have a portrait take on this subject to upload some time. It's very different, to my eye at least.

Fine specimens of rust! Great angle and viewpoint, Moira, and the inclusion of Bill's outline at the far end enhances the shot Wink

Have to say Moira,
I find this a bit more apetising than yesterdays baby fare !!
Could be some form of four horned trumpet with Bill blowing the other end !!
Top notch rust here.
Mick.

What a super shot, with that distance in the background to allow us to wander through the image. A very fine "realistic abstract".
