The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve,
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on; and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
(The Tempest IV, i)
A final visit to Brompton Cemetery. V2 is the full frame before cropping. I rather like the blown leaves but realise that they might not be to everyone's taste.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumbered here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream...
v1 please, the leaves draw my eye too much. Death, shade, out of focus..... wonderful imagery.
Dave
Two excellent images Moira, for me it has to be V1
Hugh
A fine bit of work with the LB, Moira
Have to agree with above, that in V2, the bright parts take the eye away from what we should be looking at, so V1 for me too! ![]()

V1 for me, too, for pretty much the reasons stated above. The ivy looks wonderfully delicate. However, I sometimes find Lensbaby shots hard on the eyes: I keep wanting to shut them and re-focus, only to find it hasn't made a blind (no pun intended) bit of difference. Bit like these T-shirts you see or signs behind the bar showing blurred words in order to mimic the effects of alcohol. I prefer to work on the effects in my own time, thank you very much. ![]()
Regards.

My Mother used to shiver occasionally and say "somebody just walked over my grave". I just got that feeling when I opened this image Moira, classic spooky daylight image, look over your shoulder quickly so that nobody notices.

Thanks everyone, it's been a long day (GCSE results at the High School plus other community jobs), I'm back here to recover.
Quote: perhaps a bit more cropping on the right hand side for V1.
I visualise a square crop for V3 methinks !!
Quote: I think Mick's right (but don't tell him I said that)
Now, for once I am rejecting the idea of a square crop. This is because I'm very fond of the right hand cross and I don't want to lose any of it. Sorry, sometimes I can be stubborn. (Sometimes?)
Better check out what else has happened here today now.
Moira
Ooops. I just now read the back and forth about maybe cropping more off of V1. I have to side with you on this one, Moira.
What attracted me (and prompted my comment) to this image initially was exactly the right hand cross. Even though it is oof, it has a dramatic impact.

Dreamy stuff indeed Moira. Shame it dosn't feel like a Mid Summers Night.

V1 for me too Moira, you see things that most of us miss
V2 for me, I think the 'blown' leaves definitely add something and is a great reminder that we should all 'break the rules' more often. A great shot and a wonderful quote from 'the man' too. Mrs RobinF went to see an amateur production of Macbeth the other night. when I asked "how was it?" she simply said "it reminded me of Blackadder." I didn't ask for any more details after that!![]()
kind regards,
Robin
