Omit the eyes and we have to find our own route to the soul. This is one that I could look at for a very long time.

Very compelling image - as Moira says, you can stop and look for quite a while here. Composed so well within the frame - the diagonals of the hands, opposing triangles: space between hands and area of face between veil create a kind of tension, making my eyes travel up and down within the frame.
