Hi Matt,

Nice focusing, colour and DOF so you should be pleased with it.

As the cat is not looking at you, it is sometimes nice to crop the photo tight on one side and leave space on the side where the eyes are looking for a nice presentation.

You will see no shortage of cat 'head' shots on EPZ. I think this is because their eyes and fur look so good close up and to remove background clutter. Like people, it's also very easy to get a redeye affect when using flash.

Your shot looks good taken outside with a more natural background.
