Shot of (most of) Lake Tekapo in the South Island -New Zealand. This was taken Feb 2008 (our summer). Stunning scenary around this region. The water is very, very cold as it is glacial fed. I know I swam in it for 20 minutes with a wet suit on - and I was dizzy on geting out!
The uploaded shot , just does not show how vibrant a blue the water was (the original does) - which is a real shame!

A glorious place! I visited it about 4 years ago on a grand tour of S.I. , so a bit of a flying visit.
This image captures the scale of the landscape well.
