Oisin at the moment only uses the basic standard microsoft computer photo editing software....
He is very impatient about getting his shots posted and getting them out there.....

I will have to start teaching him to use the GIMP programme to play around with, to give him an idea of what is out there and what you can do.....
Only in September, when he goes to secondary school, where they do have a photography section and lessons, then I'll be giving him all the help he needs to develop this talent of his......

I've taught him the basics and the a couple of effects.....

The rest is all his IDEAS & SHOTS.........

Hi Abigails_Grandad...
Oisin is shooting with a Nikon P80 and that is just a compact superzoom......
And does well with what he's got.....
In September , by the time he goes to secondary school, he'll have the Nikon D3100 with the two kit lenses....
He's been working hard at staying outta trouble, listening to the parents, and changing his behaviour for the better.....
The reward in this, is the photography equipment , and an interest that he can develop as he grows up......
He does have talent and has picked my brain extensively, and what I don't know, he looks up on the internet and in my magazines.....
For an 11 year old kid, he's doing brilliantly.......

Untill I get the studio lights and the rest of the equipment, I can't teach him anything else physically, so it's practise , practise, practise what he knows.....

But watch this space......

Hi Will...

I'm kinda a newbie here and got involved a little more seriously with my photography after messing about with just taking pics for the fun of it.....
Last year March bought the Nikon D90 with the standard 55 - 105 kit lens....
I've shot about 60k shots with the machine I have , but looking to get an upgrade to a full frame camera....
Been doing my homework and got the info, and set my heart on the Nikon D700....
Here I notice you shoot with the same camera ! ! !

Now I know you're one of the ''big boys'' in the photography business and mebbe you don't have the time to really chat to us real amateurs.....
Wouldn't blame ya...

But starting with the D90 and getting the D700 with the 70 - 200 f2.8 lens should be getting me on the right track, or what do you think ????

You don't think there's any possibility of all you professionals out there giving us a few pointers and tips here ??
I have learnt so much from reading and looking at the images posted on here by the other photographers and trying to get the same quality type of images as all pro's out there, but think there's still something lacking in my shooting.....

You do great work out there, and boy , was I surprised yr shooting with the D700..... ! ! !

Now I know i just have to get myself one ! ! ! ! ! !

Oh ... the comment on this image of yours is that if I ever get to shoot a shot like this one you have here, then you'll have competition......
