Amazing capture. How long do you have to wait?

He was just sat in my pond at home basking. I started off with the 300mm end of the lens and got so close that I was in the plants hanging over the edge of the pond and had to use the macro function.- Which is no mean feat as I'm nursuing a broken knee - 'Oh the things I do for my art!'
