So full of action. I like your presentation with the vertical crop. The details on the car and the DoF is great. Well done and presented! Clicked.

hi dan,

im not sure (but very interested in) why you have chosen to go for this composition...

for me, everything above the yellow tyres is irrelevant, and i think the shot would benefit if there were more cars in a "train" behind this guy.

i can understand why you would want to shoot this car though.. the R33 is my favorite of all the skylines (however if i was presented with an R34, you know, i would be obliged to accept... :o)).

what do you think about this shot?

to be totally honest i have tonnes of shots from the weekend, and several as you mentioned with the 'chain' of cars, i just liked the shot. more to follow.

heya dan,

im not saying the be all and end all of this shot would be to have a chain of cars, it was just a thought i had at the time.

im glad you like the shot, because at the end of the day, the satisfaction of capturing your vision in a frame is what its all about :o)

i was just interested more in your opinion and/or motivation behind this shot, and as i have asked a few people lately, if you had the chance, would you change anything in this photo?

no no i hear what your saying, i have suggestions or ideas about how i would do other peoples photo's & effects etc.
I appreciate the critique.

I do like the photo, probably cos i like cars, its not a bad photo, might not be pulitzer stuff, but bit of depth of field, some action, i just liked it. To be honest the thing i would most lie to change about all the photo's i took would be to get closer to the action, there were some great spots to be located but you had to be a marshall or official press to be there! Next year!!

mmmmm,

i think one of the banes of us motorsport fans is that our safety must be prioritised over our enthusiasm.

i was saying to someone else not long ago that i nearly got hit by a drag car years ago up in queensland.

it was the best track i have been to, because there was only a small fence between us and the cars, but it could have cost me a lot. having been hit by a car since, i know how much damage they do.

please take what i offer as an honest opinion mate. its nothing more, nothing less :o) thanks for appreciating that!

i do look forward to seeing more uploads from you, and i hope you achieve your goals whether it's as a marshall or press :o)

regards, ads :o)
