We live and learn. D-Day arrived and the dog duly arrived.............dog has now been returned to where it came from.

When you pay for a pedigree animal and pay to have said dog trained you expect (as anybody would) that the dog would at least understand the basic commands..............not so.

The dog arrived in a filthy state, matted hair, dried mud in matted hair and he needed veterinary attention because of some awful red sores behind both ears.

Then to top it all he nearly trashed our home..............totally out of control, chased the chickens, the cats, nearly had the fish tank over, indoor plants on the floor, mops, cat scratcher dragged all over, we were shocked at his lack of training in basis obedience..............you had to see it to believe it.............SadSadSadSadSad

We expected the dog to be excited by al the newness but he was crazy..............he went back this morning.

We are sad for the dog and hugely scathing of the so called professional dog trainer ........................8 months wasted..............that is it now, no dogs ever.............the cats and chickens are happy that he has gone, peace has returned..........what a horrible experience...............

Oh I am so sorry for you. You were so looking forward to it. I am afraid - as you have discovered- that ANYONE can call themselves a dog trainer. And also some of them have very questionable methods.

I am afraid this is why I train my own dogs, and the puppy I have just acquired will be hard work and yes, I too have chickens.

I'm so sorry to read this Julia. Dogs have to be trained - they are a joy to know and love when they are disciplined but when they're not, they have no place in people's homes. I'm so sorry to read this but at least you could return him.
